Welcome
to a genuine call for prayer to bring about a revival among the
German speaking people, whose chances for redemption without know-
ledge over and obedience to God’s New Covenant are 0, i.e. gleich null.
Question: When did God establish the framework for the New Covenant?
Answer: The conditions of the New Covenant were clearly already decided
before God created the earth. The Apostle Peter writes in his first letter, that
we were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to us from our
forefathers, “with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or de-
fect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in
these last times for your sake” (1. Pet. 1:18-20, see also Thesis # 16 please).
Before God created the world or laid its foundation, the New
Covenant, through which the people of this world would be redeemed, was
already established. Even the blood of Jesus was already destined to be the
New Covenants means to fulfill or achieve this redemption (Mt. 26:28; 1.
Cor. 11:25). The world however didn’t find this out until, “these last times.”
Today’s time period, i.e. the time since Jesus first coming until He
comes again, is called “the last time.” The Apostle John calls it, “the last
hour” (1. Jn. 2:18; cf. 1. Cor. 10:11). This last time period of earth’s
existence could anytime suddenly come to its end (1.Th.5:2).
In the above texts we can also see, that God’s goal for the people of the
world always was and still is, the New Covenant in the blood of Jesus.
The Apostle Paul wrote, “And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his pur-
pose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the
likeness of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers”
(Ro. 8:28,29).
Those “called according to His purpose” are those who freely accept the
New Covenant in Christ’s blood. We learned that from the Apostle Peter and
from the Apostle Paul. (1. Cor. 2:7; Eph. 1:5; 3:10,11; 2. Tim. 1:9)
All of these texts refer to God’s purpose for His creation mankind. They
refer to decisions He had made before He created the world. They refer to
those people who would accept His New Covenant. They would be the ones
whom He had “predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his son.”
The Old Covenant or the Law, which God had set up for the Jewish people,
didn’t do much for their redemption. It was just a short term Covenant. It
couldn’t clean or circumcise the heart of mankind. (Hebr. 9:9,10)
The Apostle Paul said, “Before this faith came, we were held prisoners
by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in
charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith
has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law” Gal. 3:23-25.
The Law or the Old Covenant ended also with the coming of Jesus the
Messiah of the Jews. The New Covenant makes out of the descendants of
Abraham, the Jewish people, and all other people of this world, the people,
God had intended to be His very own from before creation of this world. We
read in the book of Romans, “A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly,
nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is
one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not
by the written code. Such a mans praise is not from men, but from God.”
(Ro. 2:28,29; cf. Thesis’ # 47 - # 48 - # 49)
I hope this lesson is not to hard for you to understand. If it is, please let
me know. I only wanted to prove one thing with this lesson. God had already
established the New Covenant and its provisions before He created this
world. His New Covenant will totally redeem anyone who obeys its provi-
sions with all the love and devotion he or she can have for Jesus. The
Catholic and Lutheran churches or others like them and their rules or
commandments have nothing to do with anyone’s redemption through Christ
the Lord. They are unable to transfer a person into Christ.
Question you are able to answer now:
- When did God establish the New Covenant_________________________?
- Did the Catholic or the Lutheran Churches help Him_________________?
- Did He ask them for their agreement____ _____?
- In which period of God’s timetable for this world do we live today______?
