Welcome
to the web-site whose goal it is, to create an interest in the Ger-
man speaking people of Missouri and beyond, to seek, get to know and
understand the New Covenant of God.
How does a Covenant of God come into existence?
A Covenant of God is simply the Will of God for His creation man. We
read in His Word, that He made Covenants with people like Noah and
Abraham. He also made a Covenant with His people, the Israelites or Jews.
(See lesson # 47 - # 49 please)
A Covenant of God, like the Old Covenant or the New Covenant, that is
the Old or New Testament, are not like a contract made between two parties
like a union contract or agreement. In a Covenant of God, He provides its
conditions and the punishment for disobedience. Since He knows His
creation mankind, He knows how to guide men and women. He knows that it
takes a tough love to keep them under His commandments or Covenants. It is
His right to expect full and blind devotion to all of His Covenant conditions.
I know, many of you don’t think of God as One who is so unbending
when it comes to His Covenants. You think, that doesn’t sound like the agape
kind of love you have always heard about. But, regardless of what you may
think, this love of God is right for His creation. Like any father who is deter-
mined to raise his children to be obedient can’t let them always do as they
please. If he wants them to be safe in this world, he has to have a tough love
for them or they might constantly disobey and be in danger of losing their
lives on the street or fall for any of the daily peer-pressures .
The New Covenant is God’s last will for all of mankind.
Through it, God gives each person personally a last chance to flee
eternal damnation. To many religious groups act as though God owed them
something. They are so consumed by this, that they will never take the time to
find the understanding, that salvation comes only to those who obey the provi-
sions of the New Covenant. Obedience and redemption are coupled together.
God wants all of our devotion. He is not satisfied with only a little compli-
ance or faithfulness. Only our full submission to His Covenant provisions can
save us sinners from His wrath (Ro. 5:6-11).
As one of the Lord’s pastor’s or servants, I have to point out again and
again, that we can not and must not mix the teachings of the Catholic or the
Lutheran faiths with the words and teachings of Jesus, and still expect for-
giveness of our sins or salvation through Christ. Several of the German spea-
king people I know, who accepted the New Covenant, kept also the traditions
and teachings of these two big deceivers in their conscience. They thought
and still think, “that if the way of the New Covenant doesn’t save me, the
way of the Catholic or the Lutheran faith will.” They are like the Jews Jesus
talked to who believed Him but had never given up their Jewish traditions
and wrong faith in Abrahams fatherhood for salvation.
(Please read Jn. 8: 31-45).
We read, “To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold
to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and
the truth will set you free.” (Verses, 31-32)
In the same discussion He also told them, “Why is my language not
clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your
father, the devil..... (Verses, 43 - 44a).
I experienced, what Jesus said about these Jews, many times in Europe
and Germany. People of whom I believed had understood the Words of Jesus,
left His church after a few month or some years, to go back to the churches
who had deceived and brainwashed them all their lives. Why? Jesus explains
it here in this text. They can’t hear the Truth, because their father is not God
but the devil. He builds himself up on lies and so do his children, i.e. those
people, who are still agreeing with the doctrines of the Catholic or the
Lutheran religious institutions.
This is and was always very painful for me to accept. Because they were
not bad people. Mostly I trusted them with all my being. With some others I
could tell on their look, during the sermon, when their ears had closed. For
this reason, it is our earnest request for you, to severe your spiritual ties with
these religious institutions. However if you are not really ready to give them
up for Jesus today then better wait until you are ready to believe Him more
than them.
Jesus said, “No one who puts his hand on the plow and looks back is fit
for service in the kingdom of God” (Lk. 9:62; comp. also Lk. 14:28-33).
I hope, that you recognize more and more, that you are able to under-
stand the meaning of the Bible texts the way Jesus wants you to understand
them. That comes through the influence of the Holy Spirit who helps those
who diligently seek understanding. Soon you will also be able to under-
stand, why you need to obey the provisions of the New Covenant of God to
be saved. As your love for the Truth of the Word of God grows, so will your
devotion and desire to do the will of God.
