Welcome to a self-examination directed by Jesus Christ.
Thesis: Am I a fool?
You may not believe, how much it hurts to know, that the majority of the
German speaking people, my relatives, class mates and friends have no idea
about the plan of redemption, i.e. the New Covenant of God for our time. As
mentioned in Thesis # 9 they and I and our parents were deceived from the
time of our infancy. It is of course also possible, that the leaders of the dif-
ferent churches, we were placed into, never knew or understood this plan or
New Covenant of God. I would be very sorry about that. But ignorance over
the will of God didn’t change His plan in the day’s of the Apostle Paul and it
will not change His plan of redemption today. Paul had to change and re-
think his religion and so it is for everyone today (Ac. 9: 1-31). Whoever has
celebrated Christmas or the Lord’s Resurrection Day, which some call Easter
Day, and has never thought about why these days are so special, is a fool. I
didn’t give this name to those persons but Jesus Christ did.
I am not talking about the great achievements of the German speaking
people. Because we are not fools in these categories. I am however talking
about our preparations for eternity, for eternal life in heaven instead of in
hell. As German speaking nations, we have always had great minds. We pro-
duced first class music through men like Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart,
Schubert and others. We also invented first class cars. When it comes to the
inventions of machinery, the German speaking people built the very best that
includes the printing press. The government health system equals the best
anywhere. The label, “Made in Germany” is respected, standing for excel-
lence in the whole world.
German speaking people have also contributed their share, in the past
200 + years, in making this wonderful country in which we live, America,
including the German speaking nations of Europe, into the free and
democratic societies they have become.
But when it comes to our faith in Jesus Christ we get an “f.”
Because the two big denominations we worship, respect and defend as
our churches, have since their beginning, about 1600 years ago, deceived us.
Their teachings and doctrines were made a part of our lives from infancy and
that without our knowledge or agreement. The will of God and Jesus has
been kept from us for hundreds of years. We were forbidden to read the Bib-
le, therefore not even the church leaders know its Truth today.
How much longer will it be until a breakthrough to “the knowledge
of the truth” will come to the German speaking people?
I am almost convinced, that it is already to late for many of you. Be-
cause most German speaking people of today are unwilling to accept the New
Covenant or will of God through Jesus Christ. But maybe it is not to late for
you dear reader?
Please, read all the indicated Bible texts of these Lessons once more.
Do it at a time when you can really give your best attention to the texts.
Ask God to open your eyes before you start.
The first text in which Jesus calls certain people fools is in Mt.7:24-27.
These words of Jesus explain foolish and wise house builders.
Which spiritual house are you building? An answer to this question is
especially asked of those leaders and ministers who are serving in the two big
churches that still try to dominate the faith of Europe. Is your master Jesus
Christ or foolish Catholic or Lutheran church doctrines?
According to another parable of Jesus there are also rich fools. There
was a rich farmer who didn’t want to let go of his wealth. But then God
reminded him of the foolishness of his planned action (Lk. 12:16-21). The
same happened to the rich young ruler (Mt. 19: 22-26). His true God was his
wealth (Jam. 2:1-8; 5:1-5). It is so very hard, for a rich person to be spiritu-
ally humble and to obey and accept God’s will and New Covenant. “The
more he has the more he wants he never stops complaining” is a German
proverb. “Desto mehr er hat, desto mehr er will. Nie schweigen seine Klagen still.”
This fact is one of this life’s great tragedies. To think only on ones wealth
makes a man or a woman to fools in the eyes of Jesus. Because, even though
they are rich, they are not rich in the area that is worth more than all the trea-
sures of this earth, that is the spiritual wealth of eternal life in Christ.
The Apostle Paul shared with the Colossian believers, that his struggle
for them was, “....so that they may have the full riches of complete understan-
ding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in
whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you that
so that no one may deceive you by fine- sounding arguments” (Col. 2:1-4).
The reason why so many German speaking people are still deceived to-
day is because they like the “fine-sounding arguments” that are used by the
leaders of the Catholic and the Lutheran churches.
Paul also wrote to the church in Rome. He said to them, that although
each person knows about God, they don’t honor Him as such. For this reason,
God has given up on those who refuse to know and worship Him.
(Please read the whole text Ro.1:18 - 32)
I hope and pray, dear Reader, that you don’t belong to those whom
God has given up on. Those whom He will not be able to save because
they refuse to acknowledge Him and when they die go straight to hell.
To the Corinthians Paul wrote, “For if someone comes to you and
preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a dif-
ferent spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you
accepted, you put up with it easily enough” (2. Cor. 11:4) The Apostle con-
cludes then with, “You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! In fact,
you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes
advantage of you or pushes himself forward and slaps you in the face”
(2. Cor. 11: 19-20).
How much longer will you, the German speaking people, allow these
two big churches to enslave you, to make fools out of you? What would
Jesus say to a people who have the Word of God, the Bible, and are therefore
able to read it on a daily basis. Will you not be fools on Judgement Day?
What do you think, dear Reader, what Jesus and his Apostles would say?
From the parable Jesus told about the rich man and Lazarus we learn,
that the rich man tried to evangelize his brothers after he had been thrown in-
to hell. He however was told, by Abraham, that they, just like all the others,
had God’s holy Word and were therefore responsible for themselves to get
right with God (Lk. 16:19-31).
The Apostle Peter commands all of us to live a spiritual and sober life.
He wrote, “The end of all things is near. Therefore be self-controlled and
clear-minded in your prayers” (1.Pet. 4:7).
Jesus is being accused by the Jews. They demand His crucifixion.
Were those who demanded Jesus’ death fools or deceived persons?
In view of the coming end of this world and in view of eternity, it is
you and make you aware of the New Covenant like the Apostles did in their
day. Because it is the only way and Covenant for salvation even in our time.
Through it every person, who believes and obeys its provisions, with all his
or her love, can be saved through Jesus Christ the Lord.
Questions you will be able to answer now:
1) How intelligent are you ________________________?
2) Are children who get mostly "f 's" in school intelligent__________?
3) Are people who don’t listen to God or Jesus intelligent__________?
4) Is there a difference between being a fool and being uninformed___?
May you be one of those made wise for salvation through His Word,
the Bible!
In His wonderful Name Pastor Bert
