Welcome,

to a web-site, that is a wake up call to a godly faith for all the

German speaking people.

Quotations are from the Thompson Studien Bibel, Revidierte Fassung von 1984.

Dear Reader. All of these Lessons or Theses’ are written to build on the

Truth that we German speaking people know already. Truth, that we have

heard about, i.e. Jesus’ birth, His death and His resurrection, which are

called “the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

These Lessons are very simple and all directed to increase our know-

ledge and understanding of God’s and Jesus’ part in our salvation. However,

they also focus on our participation in our salvation. The climax or goal of

God’s creation effort was your and my salvation through a Covenant that

received its power from the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

That is the Gospel or Good News as stated in the first four books of the New

Testament.  We learned all this, but we were never told how to apply the

power of the Gospel to our own life so that it will save us. We have therefore

much to learn on how to respond to the Gospel. But, “being confident of this,

that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the

day of Christ  Jesus.” (Phil. 1:6) We greet you as fellow students of His will.

It is our prayer, that the Lord’s Will and Truth may be revealed to you and

all those German speaking people who have never been confronted by it. Be-

cause, what Martin Luther accomplished with his 95 Theses' on the church

door in Wittenberg, Germany did not, in a real sense, advance “the knowled-

ge of the truth.” Even though it did some stirring up of the people. And the

teachings of the Popes, as you will soon learn for yourself, are also not based

on the will and word of God or Jesus Christ. Neither are they based on the

teachings of Jesus’ Apostles.

We German speaking people need therefore another stirring up of our

souls to help us reflect on the will of God and His Son Jesus Christ. A stir-

ring up in order to help us find and understand God’s way of salvation, and

the life through and in Christ that follows.

The following Theses’ should be a big help for the honest and humble

seeker of biblical understanding. It was certainly that for me. God and Jesus

have given us sinners already so many years and opportunities to find His

Truth, don’t you think, it is high time for us to accept Their offer of mercy

with a thankful and submissive heart?

1)      Please read Mt. 7:15-23 and Mt. 15:3-9 again. What does Jesus him-

self say about the will of God? These words of Jesus, directed to the Jews,

are also a judgment on the German speaking people of today. They are a

judgment on the religious situation off most of today’s Christianity but

especially on the Lutheran and the Catholic churches.

2)     We will also think about what it means “to love Jesus” (Lesson # 8).

Not just a lukewarm love (Rev. 3:16), but a love that pleases God

and Jesus Christ.  A love that must be greater than all we desire and hope

for in this world.

3)     Another requirement of God is “blind obedience” to His will and to

the will of  His Son Jesus Christ. Obedience to God is the evidence of a

man’s or a woman's love for Jesus.

The Apostle John wrote: “We know that we have come to know him if

we obey his commands. The man who says, I know him, but does not do what

he commands  is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his

word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are

in him.” (1. Jn 2:3-5)

As German speaking people we were never able to obey the com-

mands of Jesus, because we were never told what He commanded. We

were never told, because the leaders of these two churches don’t believe

the Word of God and therefore they don’t understand Gods Way of Sal-

vation through Jesus Christ.

In the coming weeks, month and years, if the Lord tarries, we will com-

pare the commands, requirements and the New Covenant of God and Jesus

for our salvation, with our German church’ beliefs. I mean the beliefs of the

Lutheran and the Catholic churches and others  who have similar traditions.

If you are an honest person, which I certainly hope, welcome!

a)       We, as German speaking people need to let the Word of God judge the

faith into which we were, unknown by any of us, joined to in infancy.

b)       We need to inform ourselves if this faith we were joined to has a bibli-

cal foundation. If it has placed us into Christ. (Thesis # 27 and # 29)

c)                  We have to find out if those churches, we have been joined to, are pro-

claimers of the Truth or if they are liars by the standard of the above text.

(Please read also Thesis # 9.)

I know, having grown up in Germany, that for many of you this will not be

easy. It was not easy for me to accept what I had found out about the faith I was

brought up in. Many of you will not even be willing to take the time to compare

the German faith with scripture. I am very sorry about that. Because, you

yourselves are responsible to make the decision for your salvation. That is not

the responsibility of your church or your parents.

For those interested, I beseech you in the Name of Jesus, please read

these lessons and think about them from the viewpoint of Jesus. Don’t agree

with me without a biblical reason. Don’t use the viewpoint of the Lutheran

or the Catholic churches either for this test. Use just the viewpoint of God and

Jesus. God gave each of us a healthy mind. So if we are willing we can

understand His will.

Please read all the biblical texts in these lessons so the Holy Spirit can lead

you into more understanding. Read them more than once, then answer the questions

below each lesson.

You may use these lessons at home, in your church or anyway you would like to use

them. E-mail me if you don’t understand some things.

May the Lord richly bless you as you study!
